who are you??

I've been realizing as of late - I have no idea who you are. Who are you? Why do you visit our blog? Where are you from? Do you have a boat? Do you have a dream? I'd really like to know.

It's interesting because as of late, we're realizing that quite a few people visit our blog. Some of these people we're fully aware of, but we've been discovering that there are people all over the world reading about us and we'd love to get to know you.

So if you're reading this, I'd love an introduction, a link to your blog if you have one, and a glimpse into your life.

Thanks much.

Oh, and I have one more question...what is going on in this picture? Silly kids.

  1. I feel the same way. We have a lot of hits in a week and although they are mostly US/Canada there are quite a few from around the world.

To answer your question, I can't remember the first place I saw your blog but it was probably a forum and you are now in my feed reader (Google).

I would answer your "who are you" but you posted on our blog so I'm going to assume you know after reading it. 112 days to cruising!

  2. Hey Guys,
Sitting with my nose pressed against the window, praying for the snow to melt and the sun to come out drives me to read as many blogs as I can. I love to see what everyone is up to preparing for this season. The more sailing stuff the better. Yours has been a fun read for sure.

Amy and I are getting the final to-do items off the list so we can get Skylark, our Cal 34 down to Florida as soon as the weather breaks. We keep track of most of it on out blog at http://skylarkadventures.blogspot.com/ Take a look and feel to follow!

  3. Hi,

I would like to share with you a post I did on my recent trip to Rebak an island of Langkawi onboard S/V Berahi. I posted a few pictures and they are beautiful in a form of a slide show.

The link is here. Check it out.

  6. Thanks!

A wonderful little community indeed. I think it's great how intertwined everyone is without really even knowing it.

  7. Hey guys, I ran across your blog back when you were living on the Fitzcarraldo. I think I found your blog from livingaboard.com back when I was looking for a boat to live aboard when I went to school.

My fiance and I have since decided to go cruising. We left Seattle in May 2009 and sailed the Inside Passage (actually, we motored the whole thing) before sailing down the US coast. Now we're in the Sea of Cortez, enjoying the Mexican winter.

Can't wait to hear about your impending cruise.

  8. Hi Justin and Jenny,

We live in Charlottesville VA and are newcomers to your wonderful blog. We read it all the way through in just two days. (Jenny, I'm a librarian too!)

Brian and I own a Catalac 8M Catamaran. My house is on the market and as soon as it sells we are moving onto the boat and going cruising. To more southern, warmer parts of the world. We love the idea of it for all of the reasons you guys have stated in your blog. Can't wait to see what happens with you next.

    Best of luck!

  9. Tina and Brian,

I have 3 days, 8 hours and 40 minutes left of being a librarian! Eek. What kind of librarian are you?

Your catamaran looks so neat! I can't wait to go through the rest of your blog to see more pictures.
